HYDRONIC HEATING

Used throughout Europe and the UK for more than a century, hydronic heating provides homes and businesses with clean, quiet and efficient central heating. Water is heated in a central gas fuelled boiler system then pumped to radiators installed in each room.Heating systems can be zone controlled allowing variable heating which can significantly reduce cost.Radiant heat distribution results in no noise and no air movement. This means no noisy fans and no dust being circulated around the room. Particularly good for contributing to healthy homes for those with asthma, hay fever and eczema conditions.Additional radiators can be added to the system at any time providing flexibility.Macedon Ranges Hydronic Heating & Cooling uses only premium high-density polyethylene Uponor piping in our hydronic heating systems.

The Uponor Unipipe multilayer composite pipe system (MLCP) is a pipe generation that unites the advantages of a plastic and metal pipe and therefore offers a high degree of flexibility and toughness, coupled with high pressure and temperature resistance.

Radiators

A hydronic radiator system is the ultimate in home comfort and efficiency.  Hydronic radiator panels provide a silent, constant and ambient temperature throughout the home.   The system is installed using a series of pipework that delivers hot water to radiator panels in desired locations through the home, each of which can be temperature controlled.  Hydronic radiators are ideal for new and existing homes.

Slab heating

Hydronic in-slab or floor coil heating is a very efficient and luxurious form of heating for homes.  It is especially well suited to modern open plan living  with wall to wall glass areas where radiator panels are not practical.  Water is heated in a central, gas fueled boiler system then pumped through premium polyethylene piping installed into the concrete floor slab. The system operates with low water temperatures for maximum efficiency. Radiant heat distribution results in no noise and no air movement. This means no noisy fans and no dust being circulated around the room. Particularly good for contributing to healthy homes for those with asthma, hay fever and eczema conditions. Slow release heat provides a uniform temperature throughout the space. Macedon Ranges Hydronic Heating & Cooling uses only premium high-density polyethylene Uponor piping in our hydronic heating systems.

Slab on insulated matting

Hydronic slab on insulated matting is a superior form of slab heating.  Installed using an insulation barrier over the concrete structural slab, the floor circuits are then fixed on top of the insulation and a smaller top layer of concrete is laid. The additional insulation results in shorter heat up times,  reduced heat loss through the ground and increased efficiency.

Combination Radiator & Slab Heating

A combination of panel radiators and in-slab heating may be most effective for your home, and allows for two individual systems to operate on the one hydronic boiler.  A combined system enables you to customise a hydronic heating solutions for individual area of your home.
